Radio Kintoma broadcasts on a 500-watt transmitter and covers five of the seven districts in Lofa County, in the remote, mountainous, Northwest region where Liberia borders both Sierra Leone and Guinea.

The station produces and airs development programs, health, agriculture and education, as well as musical and cultural entertainment. Programs are produced in the various languages of the county. Local news is broadcast in 5 languages, which helps strengthen community ownership of the station and reduce ethnic tensions.
