	Special Initiatives FWA develops and funds special projects that advance our mission. Special projects include: • West Africa-based initiatives that enable social and economic entrepreneurs to develop their communities by mobilizing people and resources for social and economic progress. • U.S.-based efforts that raise awareness of West African issues, engage West African communities in our efforts and strengthen relations among West Africa peoples and countries, and the United States. These projects help us to grow the constituency of people investing in West Africa’s future, and may lead to the development of new partnerships.
